t12 questions

    I dont have room to put my t12's above so would it be ok to put them on the sides(vertical)? Would it be a problem having the majority of my light source coming from the side? I would Have 3 20-42w cfls above.

    Also can anyone tell me if these high power t12's work in a normal bi-pin housing. http://www.1000bulbs.com/F96T12-High-Output/982/

    I've done that. It says not to on the box, but they work okay.

    would work great, use all the cfl's you can.

    Do you think the plant would grow right though because i know the try to grow towards the source of light .

    As long as you have those 3 CFLs a few inches above them they will be fine. People use top and side lighting together all the time.

    i use 4 cfls around the sides of 5 plants
    as well as 4 t5 blue spectrums up top

    Does anyone know the answer to my second question about the high powered tubes?

    Im almost positive they will NOT work. I've looked into them myself, I think the pins are too small/close together. If you email 1000bulbs they'll get back to you they have good customer service.
