Hey guys, I just started a Online T-Shirt Shop and I needed some opinions to see if the designs are any good. I personally think I'm doing pretty good so far, I have a good amount of different T-Shirts ready to be sold. Here's a picture of one of my favorite ones:

Tell me what you think and here's the link to my shop : Pot Art's T-Shirt Designs
Buy a T-Shirt if you like the designs and I will be updating the Shop regularly. :smoke:
Also I will take requests, So if you want a T-Shirt with something on it as long (as there's no copyright on it) I can do that for you. For example if you want to see a shirt with your favorite strain of weed on it such as White Widow, AK-47, Blueberry Haze etc. I can also cut out images for you and put it on a T-Shirt but like I said, I can't put anything on a shirt that has copyright on it.

    Shop Updates:
    May 17th - 5 New T-Shirts Added
May 18th - New Shirt called I Love Purple Kush Added

  2. cool idea. maybe you should diversify your product a little more. you'll get more business if some aren't pot related

  3. You're setting yourself up for a trademark infringement suit.

  4. Yah that's a good idea, I will most likely add some that aren't pot related in the near future.

I have mostly used designs that the SpreadShirt company provides. Also The Cronic the Hedgehog one was a drawing that had no copyright on it. Not sure if that Canada Flag I used had any copyright on it though, but I highly doubt it as there is different versions of it all over google image. I will be careful not to use anything that has copyright on it though.

Copyright ≠ Trademark. If they felt so inclined, SEGA could take action against you for using a likeness of Sonic the Hedgehog.

    Design-wise:

The "Chronic the Hedgehog" design doesn't really do much for me personally--I'm not really keen on parody in design.

The "Oh Cannabis" design is an okay idea but the execution could be improved. The proportions on the flag are incorrect and the typography needs help.

I'm not sure I understand the concept behind the "Smoke 'em if you got 'em" design. The typography is lacking, the gun looks clip art-esqe, and the placement of the leaf is rather awkward.

Edit: I hope my criticism doesn't come off as being hostile. It's just that, in four years of art school, one of the most important things I've learned is that the only way one's work ever improves is through honest, open critiques (as unpleasant as they may be).

Hmm, I'm beginning to think this was a bad idea. I don't feel like going to court.. I'm only 17 years old haha. I'm prob gonna buy one of the Cronic the Hedgehog shirts for my self though lol because it took me forever to cut that image out. The "Smoke em' if you got em'" was meant to mean "Smoke Weed if you got It". The Oh Cannabis shirt has been done before though if you google image it and I guess the text isn't the greatest for that one because the Spread Shirt designer has pretty shitty fonts. I might remove my shop though to avoid Copyright shit and going to court.. Your first message really made me think cause I never really thought about that also your right The Cronic the Hedgehog is practically Copyright as it came from Sega's character. I was just thinking I might be able to make some decent money from this Spread Shirt site, but I guess you have to be a good artist and you have to create original designs which is really hard as almost everything has been done now a days lmfao. I think I might start to draw up my own designs though on paper so there not all other people's designs. I didn't steal there designs though because they get payed for me using there designs through the Spread Shirt company.

  8. I wouldn't give up on it all together. If I were you I would invest (read: torrent ;)) some decent design software (Adobe Illustrator), teach yourself how to use it, and start producing original designs. There is good money to be made in the clothing business (I have a couple of fiends that are able to support themselves with profits from their clothing lines), you just have to be willing to put forth the effort

  9. Ok well thanks for your opinion on the T-Shirts I have so far, I think I'm going to stick with it for a bit longer to see how it goes. I just made the Cronic the Hedgehog one private though to avoid Copyright. Do you think I'm good on the Oh Cannabis one for Copyright??? I know the other two are good because they were Spread Shirt designs. I'm gonna edit them though and fix what you said you didn't like about them.

  10. To the best of my knowledge, national flags are not subject to copyright.

  11. You keep misspelling Chronic not a good thing to put on a t-shirt...spelling errors. How old are you again? Because you may want to change your mind;)

  12. Ok that's good then, at least I will have 3 shirts to start out with. :)

I'm 17 + 1 lol, I thought that was the proper spelling. No biggie though as I'm not gonna be selling that Design anymore, If I were still I could of fixed it in like 30 seconds. That's why I'm showing my work so far.. So you guys can catch the little things that I missed and even help get me on the right path somewhat as I got a lot of help from Sunshine86 for example. Think of it this way though, It's always better to start young so when your older you got more experience. :D
