T shape broke after training

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by NutellaFella, May 29, 2018.

  1. After snapping the middle I left it to heal for a couple days and everything on the right side of the branch died so I cut it off, should I proceed to grow the other side? Can I keep topping the other side?

  2. Where's all your leaves? I don't think there are enough leaves for the plant to heal.

  3. I took them all off before it all broke like I always do after I top to convert all the groth to those main colas.

  4. The plant needs its leaves. All that defoliating to that extent does is stunt the growth. You don't need to defoliate to produce colas. I'm not trying to pick on your grow, just constructive criticism.

  6. Some people get way too OCD about training. It's not that difficult. You're trying too hard. A really good re-enforcing wrap of tape at that T probably would have healed it up. That poor thing is so chopped up. It's sitting there wondering why it can't just be left alone to grow.

I've been using supercropping for training for a while now. I break branches all the time. I still have yet to kill a single one. I've seen them snapped all the way through with only the skin on the opposite side attached. Tape it up and they still live.

  7. I broke a plant the same way last grow. I sprinkled root hormone in the split, idk why lol. Then i wrapped it with elastic string until it knuckled up really good. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I don't mind helping

  8. After attempting an LST'd plant with no topping and no defoliating I never went back to doing either. If you don't top and just bend branches and tie the plant down instead it will make more tops then you'll ever need and grow 50% faster. Many scrog growers do that. They don't top the plant and are able to fill the net faster then if they did.

This plant was never topped. Never defoliated, only lollipopped on the bottom. There's no string tied to it at all. No scrog net. 20oz's and who knows how many main tops. They come out by themselves when they're exposed to direct light and air. IMG_0916.JPG
