Swollen Uvula After Smoking?

    This was weird as hell. In the five years that I've been smoking I've never had this happen to me before.

    I was at my buddy's house and I had been smoking all day (grand daddy purple, the BEST weed I've ever had), and after having a nice big coughing fit I felt like I had to either swallow or hack something up. So after about half an hour of making weird faces and gagging noises I breathed out really hard and it felt like m throat was turning inside out inside my mouth or something, and it was hard to breathe. I also had mad pasties. So I go up to the bathroom and have a looksie and my uvula (that thing that hangs down in your throat) is fucking HUGE! Like its hanging on the back of my tongue! It was so weird, I stopped smoking because I didn't want to fuck with it anymore.

    But yeah, anyone know the reason?

    Hey Golden I've had this happen to me twice now. What you've done is you burned/irritated the back of your throat and the uvula. I went to the Health Center on my university's campus and was precribed a pharmacy-made gargle to help numb the pain.

    This usually occurs for me if the smoke doesn't have enough time to cool and it singes the back of my throat. Haven't found a fool-proof way of it not affecting my throat right now, probably not using a large enough piece.

    ew that happened to my boyfriend once.

    Hey golden! I too am facing the same problem of uvula elongation. I wanted to know how long did it take for your uvula to recover? did you use any medication? Thanks in advance
