This is probably a dumb question, but can I plug my lights and fan into a surge protector and then plug the surge protector into the wall outlet? Ill be running a small fan, a Mars Hydro 300 LED, 2-4 CFLs. Any problems plugging that into a surge protector and then that into the timer? Otherwise, I'd need quite a few timers for everything right?
You should be fine, depending on the Timer's rating...I would suggest leaving the small fan on 24x7, so you should plug it in directly bi-passing the timer..IMHO. I have 3 - 6" recirculating fans on 24x7 in my 3x3x6 tent and a 6" exhaust fan on the timer..
