The Canadian Press: Obama ponders his 1st Supreme Court appointment after retirement of justice Maybe we should all write Obama (like many did after his online forum response to Marijuana legalization) and tell him to appoint a justice who can help bring about sensible drug policy. I feel that we need support in all the different branches of government to make it happen, and the Supreme Court Justices (who are appointed for life) are old as fuck. Sandra Day O'Connor is SEVENTY-FUCKING-NINE. Not trying to say that older people can't enjoy marijuana too, but just that the Justices need "freshened up" every now and then. I mean shit, some of the justices lived through the Great Depression, it's a totally different era.
