Just finished this game. My boyfriend and I playes it all weekend and finished it in about 3 days, so if you're looking for a longer game - not a good choice. You start with 5 lives, but can continue after you've died. However, once you die, it starts over from your last autosave point - even if you quicksaved just before, it will still start you back off at the last castle or haunt that you autosaved after. Overall it was pretty fun gameplay. Super luigi bros looks the exact same, it just gives you a different character to play as. I started playing it after I got it with my Wii U bundle but I wasn't too impressed. Seems like the same exact super Mario I played on SNES over 20 years ago. DK tropical freeze on the other hand was a great game ans felt like a true evolution of a platform game.
