Sunshine Appreciation Thread

  1.
I'm gettin a bit of the "winter blues" up here in MI. It's cloudy and gloomy almost everyday , so I decided to make a thread about how much I enjoy the warm weather and constant sunshine of the summer rather than bitch about it.
I don't think I have mad SAD (Seasonal affective disorder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) or anything but I just get down on myself during the winter sometimes and I think it's because of the lack of sunlight. Whenever there is a sunny day in the winter though I am just overwhelmed with euphoria, even if I'm dry:eek:
Does anyone else up north experience the same thing or am I all alone on this one?
I've heard about special lamps that have the same wavelengths the sun gives out so it's like artificial sunlight, but unless I'm mistaken they're very expensive.
If you live somewhere where it's always sunny (I guess Philly counts :p) then tell us where. Or share an awesome memory about just toking up in the sun.
I'm going to the Bahamas soon and unfortunately I won't be able to blaze, but it will still be amazing.

  2. why are you not able to smoke in the bahamas...?...just go to the beach if you are on grand bahama...if around port lucaya(?),,,were the hotels stop at the end of of town on the beach, there are big rocks right there with some rastas(very nice ones) hanging out...

    just tell them...

    hey men...i want to smoke...

  3. well right now in L.A. its been raining and cloudy for the past 2 weeks but thats probably it for the rest of the year. I have met a few people from the midwest (wisconsin) and the same thing happens to them. One of them thought that their body was like a plant and needed sun for photosynthesis. haha. but as for blazing in the sun, il do it every now and then at the beach.

  4. it's complicated.. I blaze every day but I'm not going to there even though I could..

  5. its been snowin all day on the eastern seaboard. i miss the sun. even when it's cold id rather it be cold and sunny than warm and gloomy.
I think everyone kinda has SAD. seen the new episode of 30 rock? it's winter madness!!!
I def get kinda depressed when im out of the sun for too long. my last job was IT and, as it seems to be industry standard for IT, we were in the basement. no windows anywhere close. id have to surface about every 2 hours just to get some weather on me, i went though a pack every 2 days:eek:

  6. I love the sun and warm weather!! I don't necessarily get depressed when it's shitty out, but I am definitely in a better mood when it's sunny.
