Am I wasting my time taking my 3 week old Indica (Pink Panther) seedling outside for several hours of 70 sunlight daily? My light meter at 3" from my 1,450 lumen CFL reads half scale while it pegs the meter outside. Any reason NOT to trim the lower yellow leaves that touch the soil?
Personally I just let the dying stuff stay until it is completely dead and it just pulls off.. Until then the plant can still drain the nutrients from it.. How much wattage do you have in cfls? The problem with taking your plant outside is unwanted pests will sometimes lay eggs in your soil and in days you can be under an infestation.. Be careful to have something to whip it out on hand because from experience once you get an infestation.. It is hard to get rid of it..
No reason to have dying leaves that young. Could be overwatered - and no, you do not want leaves touching the soil. Cut them off.
