After a shitty experience ordering my first QB's ever (HLG 100's) I am getting a replacement today. However, trying to find a smart way of mounting/hanging these things has me stumped. Looking for a decent cost effective way to hang these things that doesn't involve them hanging individually from ropes. That sucks. They move too much, want to spin around, won't line up where I want them. Mainly concerned about using some sort of angle iron. Would bolting them together lead to shorts? I have also thought of PVC piping (like 1" or so, maybe less) Would a PVC frame be alright with the amount of heat the backs of the boards throw off? Though not HID hot, still substantial heat, could that lead to off-gassing from, or melting of the plastic? Any suggestions welcome.
Nice! I forgot about your setup! It looks like just using the factory holes to mount it? Just amazes me it doesn't short bonding them altogether. The boards are aluminum aren't they?
