Suggestions for QB Light Frame

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Johnny Stash, Dec 14, 2018.

  1. After a shitty experience ordering my first QB's ever (HLG 100's) I am getting a replacement today. However, trying to find a smart way of mounting/hanging these things has me stumped.

Looking for a decent cost effective way to hang these things that doesn't involve them hanging individually from ropes. That sucks. They move too much, want to spin around, won't line up where I want them.

Mainly concerned about using some sort of angle iron. Would bolting them together lead to shorts?

I have also thought of PVC piping (like 1" or so, maybe less) Would a PVC frame be alright with the amount of heat the backs of the boards throw off? Though not HID hot, still substantial heat, could that lead to off-gassing from, or melting of the plastic?

    Any suggestions welcome.

  4. Nice! I forgot about your setup!
It looks like just using the factory holes to mount it?
Just amazes me it doesn't short bonding them altogether. The boards are aluminum aren't they?

  5. There coated pcb. The circuits are etched under the white film. The board itself isn’t conducting
