SUB LINGUAL?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by nachoboomer, Sep 13, 2022.

  1. anyone try distillate under the tongue? Never tried it myself but thought it'd be a very fast delivery. 14 grams of decarbed bud into 100ml of coconut oil. ???

  2. what ingredients are dispensaries using now to induce edible onset high in 5-30mins compared to 2+ hours over the previous decade.

  3. I've had edibles for 20 years never has it taken 2 plus hours. Always taken up to 30 minutes. Sublingual tablets are some of my favorites from dispensary. 10mg a piece only takes 3 tablets, where as a actual edible takes 75 to 100 mg from dispensary for same effect.

Ours stopped supplying the dissolvable ones for actual pills I stopped getting those

  4. sorry, that should have read 1+ hours.

  5. Digestion and Absorption of Lipids – Nutrition: Science and Everyday Application, v. 1.0
In short Lipids (oil) are not absorbed in the mouth at all.
    Tincture (high proof alcohol) is.
Tinctures are absorbed into the oral tissues and produce a Delta-9-THC high with a fast onset and an equally fast comedown.

Edible oils are transformed after swallowing and passing through the stomach into the Liver where it is changed from Delta-9-THC into the much stronger / longer lasting 11-Hydroxy-THC.

  6. So lectin helps with absorption but is there anything else 'they' add to make onset faster in edibles?

  7. What are you talking about back when I was 16 making brownies in Tennessee 30 minutes was tops to see edible effect

Who wants to wait a hour to feel nothing before trying more. Edibles wouldnt have sustained if that was the case

  8. Dissolving sublingual tablets take like 15 minutes. They dont go anywhere but to the body. Completely dissolving under tongue

  9. In general, the effects of an edible start to kick in somewhere between 30 and 90 minutes. However, this will vary depending on the type of edible, as well as a person’s age, gender, metabolism, and food intake.

  11. ever see a 400 pound linebacker from Notre Dam take an edible...let alone a female one ;)

  12. 400 lbs would need a few edibles regardless of age and gender

  13. Coconut oil hits fastest as it skips the 45 minutes most other oils need in your stomach before it's broken down enough to move on to your Liver. Lecithin acts like a supercharger to the Coconut oil making it easier for the body to process the large THC molecule. You get more bang from less Cannabis used with Lecithin in your oil.

That is the limits of what I can do in my Kitchen. What the large Companies can do with it with dry powder activated bla bla bla is beyond my knowledge base. I've read on some of it but not enough to even try and pass on what gets done on a Laboratory scale. Your on your own with .edu searches.

Once I figured out edibles made me pain free I was on the quest to squeeze the most medication from the smallest "Dose" and BadKats hash oil capsules do that ever so well and are done with normal off the shelf items.
