Stupid question

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Labean, Jan 18, 2013.

  1. Whenever I've smoked, I've only smoked regular joints or with a homemade bong. I am, however, going to buy a standing clear acryl bong here on Grasscity, so I can't wait to get that home :bongin:

Anyway, whenever I've seen videos of people smoking bongs, they usually always remove the head out of the bong (where you place the weed in)... and I'm wondering, is this necessary and what does it do? I know the function of the carb hole, but I don't get why people do this.

Retarded question, I know, but thanks in advance :D

  2. By taking the bowl out of the slide, you allow at to get through to clear

  3. Well, that's what the carb hole is for, right?

  4. Not all bongs have a carb so thats why you remove the bowl. It acts as a carb

  5. By taking the bowl out of the slide you allow air to get through so you can clear it. It works like a carb hole. Haha I'm high as fuck and typing on the iPhone with wide ass toe thumbs is hard as shit

  6. So I don't have to remove it if it already has a carb hole?

  7. No, just milk the shit outta your hit, get a good suction going on and release the carb.

  8. I've only smoked from 3 bongs in my life, but from my experience the carb holes are usually quite small and when u take your finger off to take the hit, you have to suck hard especially big hits. On the other hand, if you keep your finger on and just remove the bowl you can take bigger hits easier and faster
