OK, so if I had started some seeds on the first, would it be too late to grow them outdoors? How do I know when to put them outside? And, what kind of results could I expect if I just left the plants on my windowsill and watered them regularly? No fancy lighting, no hydroponics, just some bagseed in a few cups of good dirt and some Miracle Grow, on my windowsill. I'm not shutting the blinds, either, just letting the sun shine. Totally on the cheap, minimum of effort. Thanks! Let me know if there are some things I can change to improve my sprouts' lives. I don't have any kind of budget though. =( LaunchSystem EDIT: pictures of the setup.
im doing about the same, i have only one plant growing though, its on a shelf, hidden right next to a window, with the window open 24/7 so it gets fresh air and sunlight, i hope this works, its been growing a week, a little more than half the size of yours, im goign to keep it growing till its about a half foot tall, then put it in a bigger pot and put it outside somewhere
Windowsill grows won't get you much. If you add a few CFL's to your window setup, then you might get something worthwhile.
I think that you have to decide what sort of grow you want to do - an indoor grow, fully supported by adequate lighting, or an outdoor grow, in the full glare of the sun. Grows on windowsills are neither here nor there, and are doomed to failure because of poor lighting intensity and/or timing.
