If you cut two holes in the side of ur grow box to install ur intake and outtake fans would that lead to a source of light leak? if so what would be the best solution to sealing it so light is unable to enter......keep in mind it a 3 plant grow so nothing hugeeee. Also what are the best distances for the lights to be from the plants through out the 3 stages?

  2. light trap - Google zoeken

To the second question depends on what type of light you are using if CFL as close as possible if HID about a foot away.

  3. ill be using CFL, so in theory i dont need a huge additional over space for my lights assuming im going to maybe cut veg period a little short so that i can grow the plants a but smaller, cause ideally i wanna minimize space use

  4. If light leaks are a problem you can hook up flexible ductwork (like they use in a/c installations for branch ducting) to the exterior of the cab. and put a few 90 degree bends in the duct to stop any light from getting in the holes....on a small cabinet or tent a few bends should not bother your fans, but if it's larger, you may have to up the cfms of your fans because each 90 adds quite a bit of air resistance.

Box of 6" by 20 foot insulated mylar ductwork is around $25 (sLowes or Home DePot)and they make tab collars to hook it to for a few bucks more...cut it in half and use it in both the intake and exhaust. Good airflow and no light leaks!
