Stubborn Seeds! Any ideas...

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by thewidowmakers, Sep 1, 2007.

  1. A started a handful of White Widow seeds purchased in Amsterdam that all opened within 12 to 48hrs except for two that are still left....it's now been over two weeks and the little buggers haven't opened yet!

I started them in paper towels like the others....then I soaked them in water to try something different....and now they're back in paper towels.

I've read that seeds can take this long to open, but it's never happened to me before!

Is there anything I can do to help "encourage" them? :)

  2. I recommend singing to them.Or you could put a couple mexican jumping beans in with them.Put them in a glass of water. If they dont sink in about 24 hours then chances are they arent viable.

  3. Well I think I'll skip the singing...I don't want to kill them!

When they were in water, they sank right to the bottom, so I guess they're still viable.

  4. After two weeks, you might just have to accept that they won't germinate. Not all seeds do.

Think of them as miscarriages. It's sad, but a fact of life.
