Hello all, I've got a stubborn seed pod that doesn't want to let go of my 5 day old baby. First the hard outer shell was clinging on - that is until it got knocked off with a spray of water. But the membrane is on there good and tight - won't let go!

What should I do? Should I operate?

The first pic was just before the hard shell go knocked off a day or so ago.
The second pic is how she is now. Notice the growth and the attempt to grow between the baby leaves.

  2. I wouldnt worry about it right now...it will fall off soon enough. But if you cant wait for it to happen, just use extreme care not to damage it.

  3. VERY gently tease it off with some tweezers.

  4. your plant is cold so it is wearing a hat for protection! up the temperature to 110* F!

  5. thats way too hot

  6. hahaha, but seriously, no!

take it off with a tweesers, as it can have adverse effects on the plant.

  7. Thanks guys for your advice. Problem solved! A tiny slice with a clean x-acto blade did the trick!
