Other than a fan is there a way to get thicker stems in the beginning? right now they are about 2 inches tall, and the stem is thin like a tooth pic so im a bit nervous. thanks
At 2", the stem shouldn't be much if any thicker than a toothpick. There isn't much you can do to get thicker stems by that size. Bone Meal is a great fertilizer and is one of the best for stem growth. However, even with a good fertilizer for it, you need to give the plant a reason to thicken its stems. Pretty much any kind of resistance the stalks encounter on their way towards the light source will encourage thicker stems; a fan blowing on them, strings pulling them, etc.
