Striped curled leaves

  1. A few of my plants in veg. Are having a little leaf proboem. Curling up with stripes and light browning. PH kept between 5.6-6.1 DWC. changing nuts once a week.. Drinking water fast so was filling up in middle of week. Was filling up with regulat nutes but saw the ppms rising when i did that which was telling me it wasnt drinking the nutes so since then I started topping off in middle of week with straight water. Using the cyco nutes.. Grow, dr repair, zyme, B1 boost. Main issue is on the older mother plants.. Using t5 lights 24hrs temp stays netween 72-78..
Also some of my bottom leaves in the flowering plants are dying off is this normal I'm assuming lower light 20191222_154809.jpg 20191222_155027.jpg 20191222_160005.jpg 20191222_155035.jpg

  2. These last 3 are all from same plant

  3. What is ppm?
I'd say those plants are getting too much of something, and it's poisoning them.
    But diagnosing plants is difficult.

Light burn is possible, but you have described using lights that shouldn't cause it.

  4. One thing i noticed is when I chanhe nutes ppm starts around 1000 then it'll raise to 14-1500 in the matter of a cpl days I'll top with just water which will drop it to 1000 or so then raise right back up

  5. I should've specified which ppm scale 500 or 700.
ppm = 1000 on the 500 scale would be 714 on the 700 scale.

Rising ppm usually means that the plants are drinking more than eating, and fertilizer should be reduced.
    I recently had to reduce nutes from EC=1.0 (ppm500 = 500, ppm700 = 700) to EC=0.8 (ppm500 = 400) because of oranging leaf tips and rising ppm.

Plants the size of yours can survive on ppm500 = 300 in a pinch.

If I had those plants, I'd reduce fertilizer to EC = 0.8 (ppm500=400, ppm700=560), and pay careful attention to whether ppm goes up or down from day to day. Then try to find a ppm that neither rises nor falls, and you'll be feeding correctly.

  6. Mine was on the 700 scale I believe. Butbit would rise through time not lower

  7. Thee only way to know is to do tests on your water …………………………………….
You will need a Nutrient Photo Meter and the reagents .
    Your looking at a 1000.00 to 1200.00 $

  8. True.
