Hi everyone having a bit of trouble with my grow it's been almost 8 weeks from seed and the pictures below show how my plants are looking. ones a knock off mazar seed and the other a strain of cheese (flowering) both auto.

There seems to be a lot of stunted growth and i cant put my finger on it I've been quite anal in checking everything like the PH run off, temperatures and humidity. with PH showing a 6-6.5 temps at 20-28c and humidity varying from 40-60% RH.

They have had some nutes but this was a while back and they have been flushed with water about 4-5 times since then watering every 5 or so days.

I just need some helpful advice is this a deficiency or something else?

    Cheese

  2.
what i always do is cut off the dead edges of my leaves on my weed plants if i ever have any, otherwise the plants just wasting energy on a crippled leaf and wont consentrate on growing big and growing new leaves.

ur plants to me seem to be drooping? have offten do u water them? alot of mistakes first time growers make is giving the plant to much attention and end up overwatering.

i have my plants in 2 gal buckets and water every 3-4 days, i rather them be unde rwatered then over watered.

What nutes did you give them and at what strenghth? First I recommend you get off that water every X days thing. Water when they need it not because it says so on the schedule. And start practicing the LITFA technique. It means "Leave it the fuck alone". Plants know what they need to do to survive and most errors and problems with plants are due to humans. Just give it light, water and nutes when it needs it and just let it do its thing.

And for future reference get some Perlite in your soil.

  4.
lol exactly what i said, new growers tend to give the plant way to much attention and end up killing it xD

  5. Lol exactly. It's a weed, it wants to grow, if you give it the basic needs it will grow and will grow healthy.

  6.
ye but i like how u said it.

practice the LITFA technique xD that was hilarious

  7. Yeah fair play I have been giving the to much attention and to be honest just feel like throwing them out of the window and starting all over.

I'll keep the leave it the fuck alone in mind when I next grow, obviously this is my first grow i knew it was going to shit its a learning curve so if i keep at it i wont have to buy it off these rip off dealers anymore.

Cheers for the advice really helped :hello:

  8.
    Excellent :)

Also, OP just use the weight of the pot to determine if the plant needs water. On the days you water your plant, pick up the pot and get a feel for how heavy it is, then use this weight as a marker of sorts, when the pot weighs nearly nothing like it did when it was watered, then it  Use KISS (keep it simple stupid) Weed is one of the most resilient plants on earth.

Oh and the nutes i used were tomato feed which i know, don't give me the big lips, it's bollocks and i shouldn't be using it for ganja.

the feed is 4-2-6 ratio and i used a quarter of what you should use so i think it was 5ml to 1.5l sorry I'm british we use metric.

Next grow I am kitting myself out with some better medium proper nutes fuck the home and garden centers they can suck my left one.

    thanks again

  10. yeah i don't water to a schedule i check the weight of the pot stick my finger in it i haven't got ocd and i'm not watering as part of a regime :smoke:

  11. well if ur a first time grower i reccommend a soiless potting mix of coco coir and perlite. coco coir is very water absorbant and is very gentle and forgiving to new growers, i almost never have any problems.

for nutes either go to a local garden store or order the Fox farm trio online, extremly amazing stuff they got.

also Rizzo30 told me their ocean minerals potting soil mix is really good, incase u cant find the coco coir, but usualy u can find it in home depot or online.

  12. We don't have home depot in the UK unfortunately but I have seen it on eBay just reluctant to spend the cash, but you get what you pay for  i suppose so i better cash in. Yeah my friend owns a company that supplies ferts so I'll get on his case and see what i can get. thanks Lindsay!

So any idea why they are so stunted? and also why the mazar auto flower isn't flowering?

  13.
A very good coco mix is Botanicare's Ready Gro, I've had soo much success this last 6 months with it! These combined with Smart Pots provide excellent drainage and aeration to the soil.

FoxFarm is pretty good for beginners and cheap too. General Hydroponics is another great cheap source that uses a standard 3 stage system like FFs and is beginner friendly. You may need to supplement both lines with CalMag though. Flowering plants love their CalMag.

  14.

have u replanted them or have they always ben in that pot?

when u replant the plant goes into shock for alittle while and will stop growing for a few days to adjust to its new enviroment

  15.
Have you considered bigger pots to help lessen root constriction and promote bigger gains?

  16. They have been replanted twice starting in a small plastic cup then on to a 5" pot, then once the roots outgrew that on to these pots which i think are 13" so maybe 2 gallon? about 2 weeks ago, don't hold me to that.

  17. would i need more room than the pots they are in now? they're actually 10" pots not 13"

  18.
Go by the gallon and not by the inches. Makes it easier on you and the plants. Try transplanting in 5 gallon containers or Smart Pots when you get a chance and get more soil. Then water and let them sit for a few days.

  19. Hey man something to make things easier on you. Try going the organic route. With the right organic soil mix you only have to water and won't have to worry about nute burn really as the plant feeds from the soil when it's hungry instead of you choosing when it eats. Just makes it easier and provides a tastier smoke imo.

  20. 5 gallons all the way. I love 5 gallon pots for indoor plants.
