Street Bud Vs Medicinal

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by 5cooby Doo, Aug 5, 2013.

  1. I find that Street Bud is usually a lot higher in THC but lacks CBD content. Whereas when I get "medical" bud it get's me just a high or higher, but it actually helps with the pain which street bud doesn't seem to do most of the time.

  2. I don't claim to know anything about the medical industry but it seems to me like they would look for strains where "getting high" isn't the only goal.

That said, medical shit is really really nice but it's way overpriced for the amount you get compared to buying from buddies.

  3. There's no difference between the 2. High quality herb is high quality herb. The tag "medicinal" just gets stamped on to make people think it's better.

  4. The difference doesn't lie in one individual strain.

    high quality is high quality.

THe benefit of medical is that you have an incredible selection (depending on where you go).

  5. Around here, the street bud is "medical" 90% of the time, meaning, someone just went to their local dispensary, picked some up and then quietly sold it to someone else. Those people are making the medical community look bad, but it is what it is. There's always going to be jackasses that have to jeopardize things for others. Not all medical is high CBD....there are advantages to all of the cannabinoids. Anyway, where most people in this country have a hard time finding dank, I have a hard time finding mids in Washington State if I wanted them.

  6. That's a crock.  Bud is bud.

  7. I'm on them Xany bars my weed is medical
And I ain't had nothing to eat but some edibles

  8.
Yes I agree with you.... There is not really "Medical" Bud. What I meant was I find the bud on the street usually doesn't help me with pain but get's me high. Bud from a dispensary (Which is always very high quality) always helps with pain.

  9.
There are good dispensaries ran by compassionate people trying to help and there are bad dispensaries ran by shitty drug addicts trying to make a quick buck with shitty product they picked up dirt cheap and marking it up. Thankfully around here, it's mostly good ones. The bad ones don't stick around for too long.

  10. Idk it's hard to formulate a hypothesis with so many variables.
Too many variables to even entertain the idea if you ask me

But since I smoked street bud my whole life
The idea of not knowing where the nugget that I'm consuming is coming from kinda bothers me
And I really wana know who is ultimately supplying my area with the weight but il never find out

So I'm gonna say medical is safer and better
I don't think it's fair to compare quality in this instance

  11. Every place I've seen that supplies street dealers are licenced. Most illegal weed is grown legally now that grow cards are a thing.

  12. I live in Michigan so "street bud"= medicinal bud

  13. I've had tons of dealers give me "this sum kush from cali" like cool. I've also had a bunch of dealers that claim to have medical bud. Either way I've never been higher given my tolerance and the amount smoked during the sesh than I did when I picked up from a dispensary in Colorado. But yeah depending on what state you live in, street bud = medical. Most places there's a lot of dank on the streets but I still don't quite see it as medicinal quality.

  14. Around here, it's all the same. Street bud is medical bud. The growers grow for patients and sell the rest.

The dispensaries are amazing. I am going to Portland and they have a better variety than the ones here. 25 an eighth is not a bad price.
I'm thinking i'll get Chem dog and Train Wreck for sure and probably a couple others.

They have a web site they update every day with about 25 strains to choose from.  They sell Sativa, Hybrid, and Indica have quite a  few different strains of each.

Nowadays I bet the people that sell their weed on the street's also get it from the same connects as the one's the dispensaries get it from. They need to keep up with demand, so they need to supply good weed so people do go off and buy it from people that have access to clubs.

Now if you are from a area with no medical marijuana dispensaries, then I guess the street dealers have it easy.

The only difference is in how it is sold. Medical bud is usually expensive, and while dispensaries usually have strains that are high in CBD does not mean it is any better then bud you can buy on the streets, it all depends on the grower.

Its the same weed. Literally. Sometimes medicinal is sold on the street and "street weed" is sold to dispensaries .Sent from my PC36100 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  19. Medical is sold on dispensaries

Street is sold on the street.

  20. Some dispensary weed has been screened and had a lot of keif knocked off.

I would definitely rather buy directly from a good grower who knows what he/she is doing.

    Really, you can't make a comparison .
