Hey guys running into some problems here. Grow so far is going great but am seeing a huge difference in growth between the two strains I’m running. There don’t appear to be any deficiencies or anything going on, which leaves me to believe it’s genetics or possibly lighting. I’m running a 4x8 living soil bed with occasional supplemental bottle nutes to speed things up. On one side of the bed I have a blue cookies strain under 530w of leds and on the other side I have a grape dosido strain under a 600w mh. The grapesido just isn’t living upto what i thought, slow growth, skinny stems, and small leaves even though it’s under more wattage. I’ll leave photos of both sides of the bed for comparison. What do you guys think it could be? I’m ready to start flower on the blue cookies but don’t want to yet due to the small plants of the grapesido strain. Temps are typically around 75 during light period and around 60 during dark. RH has been around 60%.
The indoor 4x8 living soil bed is ambitious. Certainly it can be done. Theoretically you only need 1 square foot per plant in a bed. I do believe your problem is a result of the bed. Marijuana is a scrubber plant. It will absorb anything. I think that by putting them all in bed together you're creating competition and some are winning while others are losing. I'm not knocking your method, but like I said, I think it's ambitious and if I had to guess why there's a runt in the litter, it would be just that the others are taking all the milk.
they look like they have a sulfate deficiency. I'm a hydroponics man so I don't know anything about living soil but I would fix that problem before going into flower. I recommend Epsom salts.
Each photo is of one side of the bed with a different strain. The runts you see are clones that came off of the larger plants in the bed therefor they are behind because of rooting time.
