Strain Names

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by 420 bruhh, Apr 7, 2011.

  1. Are 99% of the time made up if it isnt directly from a dispensery/grower. PLEASE stop making threads asking what strains look like, or some shitty pictures of your weed off of your phone asking what strain it is.

  2. 99% of the time people don't use the search button, which would reveal several threads on the same topic. :D

The names are always made up, however strains get labled names for a reason. Some have pain fighting properties, some get rid of anxiety and depression

Naming them is a way of classifying which strains do a better job at a certain job, making it important in a medical aspect

From a recreational standpoint, weed is weed, I hardly ever ask the strain name because frankly, I don't give a fuck

Some strains do have a distinct look to them though, regardless of what you think, however this is based on the ratio of indica/sativa

Indica will have short, dense, highly resined plants while sativas will have more lanky and taller ones

A hybrid will have a mix of both, depending on which half of the genetics is stronger

  4. Strain names are overrated. Most people that claim it's "this" or "that" aren't even really sure. If it hits good, who cares what it's called.
