  2. Cant post Aqua Lab here man

  3. I like straight tubes, but just because of looks..so get what you like

  4. I also prefer straight tubes, I find it's easier to clear and looks nicer. :)

  5. good question, I own a beaker. Tempted to get a straight tube.

  6. I originally owned a straight tube with ice-notches, now I have a beaker with a shower-head perc and I kind of miss my straight tube..

  7. I love hitting both, difference is:
Straight Tube will clear super fast. A Beaker will clear slower but I feel is smooth with more water for the smoke to go through.

  8. Personally, I prefer a straight tube over beaker base. I have owned both and can say that straight tubes are "easier" to clear. When clearing a beaker base, I notice that it takes a little more effort to completely clear all areas of the bong, but the hit does seem a bit smoother.

I'd rather sacrifice that extra smoothness and get a fast clean rip, leaving room for that extra inhale of oxygen to push the smoke deep into the lungs :bongin:

  9. Well being that I have a super low tolerance, I am thinking the beaker since it's smoother.

  10. Well I own a straight tube and love it. No experience with a beaker.

  11. I own a bulb bottom so i guess that's somewhat like a beaker it was my daily hitter for months but my new straight tube blows it outta the water.

  12. If you've never hit a bong before and don't smoke regularly, get ready for the journey to another planet. Ripping a bong for the first time (other than my first time getting high), brought me back to the feeling of my first experience.

    Good times for sure.

  13. I've had both kinds, the beaker has more drag because you need to clear a larger area (obviously) but its definitely smoother. I don't like straight bottoms too much cause I like bigger hits, not faster ones to the dome. If you don't want to clear a huge beaker, get a small beaker bottom. For a beginner though, straights are better IMO, as everyone said its way easy to clear. And just cause it may not be as smooth as a beaker doesn't mean it won't be smooth, it's still a bong.

  14. I had a bong but my friend broke it.

I really like both! There is only a $5 difference so no give there.

  15. I made a decision - I bought a helix mini pipe.

Next month I'll buy both :)

  16. I've owned straight tubes but hit many a beaker bottom. If you use it as a travel piece and have to empty your bong after every use (which is a pain, but makes it so you never have bad water..) get a straight tube. My friends daily driver is a 10" tall 5mm thick beaker bottom that he got at our LHS. He uses it as a travel piece and it hits well, but it takes about 1/2 a water bottle (8 ounces?) to get it to optimal levels.

I also like the look of a straight tube more, and how it has less drag. If you have a diffused downstem the "harshness" shouldn't matter too much. From my experience, beaker bottoms also tend to get a resin build up on the side the downstem is nearest to the glass, and not at all on the other side. If you dont clean your glass weekly, it looks pretty ugly.
