Story Time Do You Think This Guy Was A Narc?

    Sorry if this is a long post.

    So a few weeks ago I was standing outside my university campus waiting for a ride and puffing on my e-cig and listening to music through headphones when this random dude (looked between the ages of 25-30, looked like a normal dude, didn't blatantly look like a smoker or anything) walks up to me and starts talking. I pulled out my headphones to hear him and he just said point blank "can you put weed in that thing?" Referring to my e-cig. I didn't think much of it and responded something along the lines of "kinda... You'd either need to buy a special tank for it or make a tincture." He followed up by asking if I knew how to make a tincture, like the full process, and stuff. I gave him a vague run-down, before my ride showed, so I just told him to google it and left. I thought nothing of the whole situation, if anything just thought it was funny that a random guy came up to me and starting talking about weed. I told my sister and a few other friends here and there, just because I thought it was worth sharing, and several people told me he could've been a narc and was trying to see whether I'd openly talk about myself smoking weed. Never saw the guy again, and I seriously doubt he had any ill intentions, but I figured I'd share the story and see what other blades think.

    Feel free to share your personal stories about random people or possible sketchy situations! Like I said, I seriously doubt he was anything more than just curious.

    I don't think he was a narc. If he was asking to buy weed off of you, then I would be a little skeptical.


    I smoke on 1/5. I was always taught to reduce fractions.

    Yea let me tell you a narc is gonna arrest you for telling somone that you can use tiniture in your e cig

    Not everybody uses the internet to answer their weed questions OP. Strangers who seem to have similar interests have been known to spark up a conversation, especially about weed...and he probably thought you smoke weed, since you smoke an e-cig. It's something I think everytime I see someone with one myself. That being said, you're over reacting and paranoid.

    sounds like he wanted a friend and/or hookup, dont be so quick to dismiss people as cops. its uber unlikely a cop was trolling for arrests

    Doubt it, i didn't go to college but i assume that stuff happens a lot on campus.
     
    Years ago I was at a porn shop looking at the bongs and vapes they had and some guy came up and just started talking about weed with me. A guy who works there pulled me aside and said your suppose to refer to using the pieces for tobacco not weed and that cops have been in there before trying to get people to incriminate themselves. Nothing happened but now whenever i go somewhere to look at bongs i only talk to people who work there. And that was when i was 18 and hadn't yet followed the philosophy of "Don't Trust Anyone."

    As long as you aren't out there with the fact you smoke weed, should never be a problem.
     
    A Narc is not gonna arrest you for having some generalized knowledge that pure tobacco smokers could know.

    On 4/20 a lot of people smoke on the big quad in the middle of campus (I go to berkeley) and while me and my friends were sitting around smoking some joints a guy came buy who seemed pretty sketchy and asked us if we wanted to buy weed. MY friend looked down at the big bag of weed in the middle of the circle and went "I'm pretty sure we have enough weed..."  When he left we started talking about how he could of been a narc but i think its more likely he was just trying to be lucrative

    Its definitely possible. I always watch what I say about the herb when certain people are around. Mainly because in my area it is greatly frowned upon, and you can never trust random people you have just met. Stay faded :smoking:

    Nah, just sounded like a guy that wanted to use an Ecig for weed. 
    It probably would of been more obvious if he was a narc 
    Like the conversation would of started like "Yo buddy you got any weed on you?" 
    Probably would of forced more questions onto you as well 

    Almost over a year ago there was this guy that came up to my friend and I, asking if we could sell him some bud. When we asked how much he wanted and for how much, he said "three pounds"
    I was like "Oh sure, let me call my guy" and I quickly left rolling my eyes. 
    It's obvious if they're a narc or somebody you don't want to deal with. 
    The guy was like mid aged, in a hella nice car, with a wife about his age.

    But the guy you dealt with, sounded like he was just curious about what you were using.

    Yes it was a narc. I paid him to do that. Out of all the murderers and rapists in the world, I decided that you should be my main target because you may know something about tincture and you have an e-cig.
