Ok so I have a rubbermaid dwc setup of 4 rubbermaids and I want to keep it over the summer or winter break in one of those storage garage places because I live somewhere new every year. Do they check for things like this; or if I packaged it well could I possibly get away with it?

You mean like pay to store it? As long as you pay the rent for the storage facility you'll be fine. They won't go in there unless you stop paying. And if they did find it...so what? There's absolutely nothing illegal about having hydro equipment, especially a small set up. There are completely legit hydro setups where people grow lettuce, etc. Unless the whole unit was filled with grow equipment, it wouldn't raise any eyebrows. And if it was packaged, even if they did go in there, they wouldn't see it.
I have rubbermaids 2x2 stacked on top of each other and they're taped together with the bottom lid cut open for more space and then taped together to seal it. would they even bother to open it up? I would keep the buckets separately in a different location.
Nobody cares what you're storing in there as long as you pay your bill. Even if someone did open it (which they wouldn't), there's nothing illegal in there. I don't understand what you're worried about. Maybe if you had a whole storage unit full of grow equipment, but just a couple boxes? There's nothing illegal about having grow equipment and nobody's going to care as long as you pay the rent on the storage unit.
