1.
So I was in my history class today and we were talking about how there was little or no govmt regulation around the 1900's.

My professor, who had been my favorite teacher all through high school and is now teaching a history class at my college, goes off on this tangent about how both of his parents were law enforcement in Ann Arbor during the 60's and 70's.

He told us about this thing called hash bash where a giant majority of the population of Ann arbor would go to the middle of the campus and all just light up every April 1st. And so the state gvmt decided instead of annually arresting and spending thousands of dollars processing half the population of the town they would just have the law where you could have a small amount of weed for personal consumption but you would get charged a 5 dollar fine.

So he was telling us how his dad, a local cop would go around 'through the purple haze' and give everyone there a ticket for $5 all through the day and people would just come up to him and give him $5 and take their ticket hah.

Both his parents are for legalization, so is he, none of them smoke. When Michigan legalized medicinal, his mother, who is 72 years old Got a growing lisence and now grows weed just to grow it, she doesn't sell it she doesn't smoke it, she just grows it because she can. She says she doesn't understand why it is illegal, she likes the smell hah. She used to work in a local prison and saw so many people who lost their jobs and their families and were locked up just because they were pulled over and had like a half ounce under their seat.

It really doesn't make any sense hah, the teach has a way with words I wish I could quote his whole story or paraphrase him better/ record him without getting him into trouble but he said, 'there was no violence, no rape, nothing but a bunch of high people eating cheetos. I don't think weed should be illegal, I don't smoke because I like to keep a clear head, but we have had this trillion dollar war on drugs since Nixon ( he did a really great impression of him at this point ) and the point of any war is to win. Well they aren't winning so the other option is to just chalk it up as an unwinnable war and tax the stuff, But They aren't doing that either.' he then went on for about an hour about other stuff, I was kind of high so I don't remember it all hah.

Anyway my b for the very long post I just love hearing him or other older folk talk, especially about things that matter to me because they just seem more eloquent about it.

Anyone have any stories about anything? I'm bored so i will probably read anything at this point. :smoke: laterrs
Moved this here. From wherever I had it, I don't even remember, fuck this iPod.
