does anyone know, specifically, what causes the buds to stretch instead of swell? I am experiencing buds that have catipilar like growth at the tips. I'm using RO water, so im wondering if im not supplying them enough of a specific nutrient. I add CalMag to the RO water, even tried epsom salts...
Using Advanced Nutes ,keep ph between 7-8 in a bubble setup. Roots seem healthy, no bad smells..
    Thanks in advance

  2. It's usually caused by insuffiecient light. If you have enough light, what week are you in? This sometimes happens to me, but they end up swelling up the last 3-4 weeks of flowering.

  3. hps 400 plenty of light in a closet grow

You're growing your plants in a DWC setup? The ph needs to be 5.2-5.8 best at 5.5 don't let it go below or above. !!

  5. It could be the strain you're growing,a sativa maybe.
Like i said before it's all in the strain.
When i do an old bag seed grow i get some like that and some that are tight fat buds.

  6. letting the ph drift between the correct ranges is best.
to much nitrogen in flower can cause sparce leafy fluffy buds

  7. umm, sorry
    ph is between 5.6-5.8
