Bobby Wooderson, Andy Slater and Richard "Pink" Floyd, all former high school classmates of Dazed and Confused director Richard Linklater, filed a lawsuit in Santa Fe, N.M., against Universal Studios claiming that they have suffered embarrassment and ridicule because of characters based on them in the 1993 movie. -Arkansas Democrat Gazette boy that caught my eye this morning
I guess that makes sense, I wouldn't want someone making a movie about me and my friends without my permission.
Hmm, that's odd. I'd be excited if someone made me a character in Dazed and Confused. Why did they wait over 10 years before attempting to sue?
They probably need the money now, but you'd think they would at least ask for permission if they are going to use their real names, no?
My sentiments exactly! Yes, why did they wait so long to sue? Personally, I think it should be illegal to sue, unless you've got a damn good reason, like it caused death or severe injury. The whiny people that sue for stupid reasons such as this don't deserve anything and they give the human race a bad name. I hope they don't win this lawsuit, what bullshit. Heh, if my real name were Sue Thomas, I could sue the creators of the show "Sue Thomas-FBI" because I'm a real pothead and I am offended at having my name associated with the FBI. Gimme a break...
