Stomach Virus and Marijuana

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by nyyankees1237, Feb 14, 2014.

  1. I've been hit with a pretty bad stomach virus since early yesterday morning at about 3am. I've puked my whole body out and I feel very weak and I'm afraid to eat. I've been trying to drink as much water as possible but I'm fearful of eating and drinking at all because of how I may puke it back up.

I'm weak, dizzy, tired, haven't gotten a good meal in in over 36 hours. I've been missing school and work. Now my question is will vaping some of my bud make me feel any better or will it worsen the situation? I just want the nausea and dizziness to go away. I also want to be able to eat and get some nutrients in my body and to get some good sleep in. Anyone have any experience with being sick like this and using marijuana to feel better?

    Thanks in advance.

What do you mean you haven't smoked yet! :poke:

Anti-nausea and easing pains is one of the best uses for cannabis :smoke:

Yes I would definitely vape myself silly - it'll help you feel so much better.

If your stomach is troubled, try taking just small sips of water every so often to avoid water logging your sensitive stomach, which would cause you to throw up again.

For nutrients... especially when facing stomach issues, stick to the very basics. Nibble on raw veggies or fresh fruits. Tomato soup (and tomatos in general) help restore the proper pH balance of the stomach.

If you can stomach it (sorry bad pun I know!), drinking your water with some raw, organic apple cider vinegar (like Bragg) will help to fight off the nasty pathogens in your stomach and restore alkalinity. Raw ACV can actually be used to treat or prevent food poisoning - now that I think of it - if you can make it to the store or send someone, the enzymes and beneficial acids in ACV will fight what's colonizing in your stomach.

Aside from that consider consuming any type of anti-bacterial / anti-viral items that you can hold down. Raw garlic can cause irritation on an empty stomach, but if you can down it with some bread or something it has anti bacterial and viral properties. Raw, organic coconut oil does too. And as far as vaping, remember that certain cannabinoids have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties too, alongside anti-inflammatory, immune modulation via endocannabinoid system, and so on. Get that medicine up in ya!

    Dr Hassel says:

Drink lots of ACV + water
    Make tomato soup
Nibble on raw veggies and fruits
Vape yourself silly before, during and after
    Watch funny movies
