So a little info here. I bartend which means my dinner usually isn't ate until 1030 or later. I got one of our burgers with Monterey Jack cheese, green and red peppers and sautéed onions with Cajun mayo. I've had this burger before without any problems until this morning. I ate it last night at around 1030 and went to bed around midnight. No stomach pains or any signs of trouble to come until about 630 this morning. I woke up extremely bloated and with searing stomach pains that left me in the fettle position for four hours. I tried pooping but couldn't because the pain was to intense in my stomach. I was at the point where I was going to induce vomiting but couldn't get myself to do that. Four hours later I can now poop and I'm starting to feel better just with slight pain. My body is usually regular, I'm not the healthiest eater but I'm definitely not the worst. Any experiences like this or tips on what to do? I'm never eating that again. Edit: I did smoke as well but that's a nightly routine. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I get that occasionally. Idk what caus it. Probly poor digestive health in general. Try eating some daily fresh greens Sent from my LG-E739 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
don't eat that again. something caused a serious irritation of your digestive system. how about that meat for the burger? .. know where that came from?
It's not my digestive health. I'm healthy there and eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
The burger itself was fine. We use fresh patties so it couldn't have been that. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
if you bought those patties at the supermarket, then don't be so sure: https://www.google.com/search?q=bad+supermarket+meat this is even worse when you are talking about pre-made, ground up beef... i don't want to think about what you might find there. it's very possible that you ate a "chunk" with some contaminate that didn't agree with you. the questionable quality of meat is a more likely suspect than peppers, which you never had a problem with before and that are likely to be more consistent in their quality. plus you claim to be in good digestive health... so just consider that you ate something "bad".
I get this on and off from Hot Peppers Sometimes the pain is as you speak. It mostly passes within a few hours, and once I do go to the bathroom it goes away as quickly as it came on. Did you feel the heat coming out too , If so say away from the strong peppers.
No it wasn't bad coming back out. And the pain still came and went for the next couple hours after going to the bathroom. This happened on Tuesday and I haven't had any problems since so it must've been the peppers. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Restaurants generally don't source their ingredients from supermarkets. At least the one's I've worked in generally have a separate supplier who sells it to them wholesale.
quality restaurants often use quality, local ingredients... but your average chinese buffet probably does not, unfortunately..
Yeah I'm not at all concerned with the quality of the meat. I'll just stay away from peppers or at least peppers on an empty stomach before going to bed. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum mobile app
