    My parents are also very old school and older than most with kids my age. So yeah. The old world qualities still remain from those who came before us as well. They just don't raise em like they used to.

    the car and truck in my driveway...i bought myself. rent always had to pay myself. same with everything else. maybe not brand new but second hand and all the parts/labor i did myself.

    I was raised at the beginning of the trophy gen by a dad who didn't believe in that shit lol

    I remember some friends had like a shrine room full of participation trophies... The "you tried good" room :laughing:

    I'm the type of person who takes a class, not for earning the credits, and then scores a 99 on a 100 (attempted a 103 with extra credit) and then is bummed, because I am not satisfied with that, and the teacher asks "what more could you want"
