He really went all out in that distillation setup. Although I heard if you add a few bits of coiled copper tubing it lets the steam cool before it reaches the end letting you get more back.

I saw that when I was looking in to distilled water setups.

Still so cool he set all this up! Very nice BNW.

That small left hand pot has the condensing coil under water so it's enough temp differential to give me a solid output. I know what I started with and can judge just about exactly when it's gonna spit the first bit of water.
Holds right at 70-80C right till the end. When it slides past 80C I can expect the water to cloud the output any second.

After watching the first 20 dollar fifth of high proof booze evaporate to air I knew that wasn't gonna cut it and started shopping for a still that week. I still have some losses but nothing like that first bottle so it's down to acceptable losses now.

I know what you mean. If I had the room for it I would do the same thing. I want a watter distiller rig anyway since my tap is cancerously disgusting.

Off to a rough start this morning. Breaker tripped 3 times just trying to get my coffee brewed. 10 minutes turned into an hour. Grrr.... Then, had to drop the boy's truck off the insurance, as he just learned what it would cost him to fix it. For just $300 more, he can buy a vehicle 10 years newer and better on mileage. So, for at least 1-2 weeks, he'll be driving my truck (the girl drives hubby's truck for now). Insurance now automatically adds your child once they become licensed... the downfall of the DMV talking directly to the insurance. (Great for other things, like being able to renew your plates online. No way to go without adding your kids like our parents did.) So, as of Wednesday, my monthly insurance bill pretty much doubles. Good thing I'll be having decent harvests starting in March. Also in a week or 2, hubby will be buying an S10 for the girl, so he has a vehicle again. LOL. So, yeah. I shall be very, very broke soon.

Anyhow, took me 6 tries to get the effing website to accept the exact same login and password I've used for 3 effing years.

I need more coffee.

Up next, harvest the first of the 3 Bears. I should get my sprayers in the mail by Tuesday (thank goodness, since the PM and mites are going wild right now! and my last spray bottle stopped flowing, grrrrr). I ordered 3 to have a spare on hand. 1 for the Green Cure, 1 for the spinosad.

What else... oh yes. I did receive my infrared thermometer, so I need to make the next batch of soap. Plus, I got an order for 4 oz of neuropathy butter. I do not right now have enough on hand, so I need to go mix some up for that order.

I had planned to do all of this yesterday, but the kid got me started watching Lucifer, and I binge-watched all day. LOL. I needed to sit on my butt, though. My back was absolutely wrecked from Friday night at work.

Alrighty. I'm done whining. I have shit to do.
