What erp blades. Last night I picked up from my buddys new connect. The bud was super stinky and when I put it in the grinder it took a while to grind up. After I smoked half a bowl I didn't really feel too high. I mean I felt like awake and a little buzz. I thought the way this bud looked smelled and how sticky it was I'd be floored it's been the best smelling bud I've had in a while.

    My questions are:
Is it that hard to tell a sativa high if I've only smoked Indica?

Could I need to let the bud dry a bit more if it was that sticky?

Last, anyone ever get really good looking and smelling bud but it sucked?

    cheers

Edit: I've been smoking a little over a year consistently which is why I'm a bit confused if the bud just looks good or I'm not used to a sativa

1st. Take a couple day break, then try it out. IMO you can definitley notice a trippy effect with sativas. Find a diesel strain if you can.
2nd.As far as I'm concerned, only need to dry bud if it's moist. Sticky is good. :smoke:
3rd. I'm sure there is close incidents, but probably has never "sucked". Just didn't give the full herbal expectation.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Sounds like it need to be cured...
leave it in a jar for a few weeks.. then try it..

  4. I'll try and cure it and like I said this stuff was not breaking down in my grinder for the longest then when it did I went to pack it up and it was still really sticky. Best bet is to dry it out a bit?

Being from Ohio I usually get no name Indica to my knowledge so I'd figureI'd be able to hit and feel a sativa I'll post pictures after work but it seems like I've never came across this problem after smoking or super sticky bud which is why I'm asking. Sounding and feeling like a noob. But thanks for all the advice thus far

  6. Ahh mason jar, or brown grocery store paper bags. Either will do.

    Edit:
No problem man. I personally think you'll enjoy it. Its a litle upper feeling. Let me know how it goes OP

Thanks man I was running late for work hit a bowl twice and I felt uppity awake and good but it felt as of it was dumbed down like it was a, really weak sativa high from what I've read on sativa effects maybe if I dry it a bit the effects will strengthen?

Yes definitley try drying it, that should improve it all around, but just post pictures when you can. Before/after.

Also maybe its a hybrid? 50/50 or something, your judgement, your weed ;)

Will do, my judgment is off due to never getting medical or strain name etc. when I pick up it's usually "good shit" or "beasters" and so on never hybrid sativa indica which is one of many downfalls of non medical states and dealers

  10. It sounds like you just got a bag of some weak cannabis. Drying and curing improve taste, but you should still get a good buzz.

If anything it sounds like someone may have chopped way to early.

  11. the buzz also changes during cure..
the chemicals are realeased and change the effect...
If its dried to fast it freezes anddoesnt allow the change...

  12. Yeah . . . . . . . . . That's hydro.

    :bolt:

  13. Thanks everyone

  14. Sounds like prematurely harvested weed. No cure/drying will solve the issue. Properly grown/matured weed will.
I would find a new hook until your boy runs out of this stuff. It ain't gonna get any better.

  15. Wait, you took 2 hits and felt a little buzz? Finish that bowl and let us know how you feel :smoke:

Any physical signs on the bud to tell if it's premature

  17. prety bold statement...
If you dont realize that the chemicals change during drying and curing then you need to read up..

To be sure your marijuana reaches its full potential you should make sure that you dry it properly. Chemical changes occur during drying that will increase the active ingredients. Bad drying however will decrease the active ingredients thc.
Ideally the drying area should be around room temperature (low 70`s)and in darkness. As about 75% of the weight of fresh cut cannabis is water ventilation and air circulation are also important to avoid any problems with mould.
Mould can turn a plant to black sludge over night. Make sure you open up big colas to check for grey moulds. Any plants found to be going mouldy should be separated from the rest, trimmed of the mould and quick dried.
One of the simplest methods of drying marijuanais to hang plants from a string, this allows air circulation and keeps the buds from touching anything. Sticky t.h.c. laden glands are easily dislodged so avoid too much contact with your plants.
The first 3 or 4 days are the most crucial. Marijuana dried any quicker than this will often be harsh, brittle and of inferior quality to the same bud dried a bit more slowly. After 3 or 4 days you can speed up the drying if you really need to.
Sometimes large colas are damp in the middle whilst brittle dry on the outside. Place these buds in plastic bags over night to even out the moisture content. Dried cannabis should be firm, springy and should not crumble when handled.
When your Marijuana has dried to an acceptable level it can be stored in dark, air tight containers. Many people freeze their cannabis or keep it in the refrigerator, this helps prolong the freshness the same way it does with other herbs.
Curing is a longer more drawn out drying period. The chemical changes that occur during drying are allowed to continue further so that the taste, strength and appearance of the cannabis is altered even more.

a lil copy and paste for ya...

  18. I realize chemicals change over time.

I also realize that a plant chopped to early no longer posses the ability to create more of the 'background' cannabinoids that contribute to a balanced high.
I also realize that an immature cannabis plant probably has a very high THCA ratio, relatively speaking, to a properly matured plant and is thus mainly responsible for the "uppy sativa-like" feeling the OP described.
I also realize that THCA is produced first, and that CBDA, CBD, THCV, CBN, etc, are produced later in the plants maturation process.
I also realize that these secondary cannabinoids are antagonists to THC, and therefore are responsible for controlling the 'uppy rush' of THC.
I also realize I have smoked plenty of premie herb, and no amount of cure or drying will make it better.

What do I need to read up on?
