Stems and bowls

    I have alot of free time, and with it I like to build bongs.
    The only problem is I can never find a good bowl piece that works with a stem.

    Iv used all sorts of things, from socket wrenches, to strange plumbing supplies found in lowes. But when I do find a good bowl piece, I can never find a way to attach it to the stem, or make. Filter, so my bongs usually end up covered In aluminum foil.

    Does anybody know what I could use to MAKE a good stem. Also ideas for a filter that won't get torched by the lighter would be greatly appreciated.

    P.s. I am NOT just going to go to. Headshop and buy a real bong. After I spent $100 on my last one, and It broke I decided not till I win the lottery :p
    also there's a different feeling when you smoke out of something you made youself

    music mouth peices are awsome. also sharpie markers are great down stems. a good bowl to is you take a socket put a screen in it. then you the shaft of a bbq lighter yam it in it glue it. and ya try those there super easy to get/ make but realy man you get get a bong for 10 dollars that comes with a bowl and down stem
