Hey guys. I've been germinating my seeds for about 4 days. they've grown out but the stem parts look really long. Usually in the pictures they look way shorter and the first set of leaves are still a bit yellowish. I was wondering if I am ready to set the ones that look ready planted in the soil mix with light. Here's a pic. http://db.tt/Gj7dqnCL
Should I put them into the soil mix or just leave them and just put light over it? Also what would be a good height for the light?
Get some light over them first and would consider some pots for them. Air movement around the plants wouldn't hurt either. AnUfF
Going from low light to 400w seems a little extreme.Try some florescent bulbs(if you can) then once the plants establish some roots and leaves , move up to the "high power" lights. But your light should be around 15-24 inches form plant tops, depends on setup and amount of heat at plant tops. AnUfF
