Steam Roller Help!

Me and a buddy are having a big debate about which side you hit this steam roller on, but where the green glass meets the clear it's like a 2 chamber, so what side do you guys think?

 

But when you hit it from that side the other chamber doesn't fill up with smoke At all

 

But when you hit it from that side (clear side) the green chamber doesn't fill with smoke
