Hello anyone who takes interest in my grow journal. I will be growing with a Stealth Hydroponics 4 net-pot system deep-water-culture. The water will be distilled store bought 1 gallon bottles. Also will have one Medium sized cylindrical air stone connected to a 2 port air pump. I will use a small usb fan, personal humidifier (cool mist), and 4 100w equiv CFL 6500k bulbs for veg, and undecided for flower. The nutrients will be Advanced Nutrients 3 part Grow, Micro, Bloom Ph perfect formula. This will be done inside a modified dresser. I will start by soaking my rock wool cubes in 5.5 ph balanced water overnight. Then place the seeds into them at 1/8 inch or so from the top and sit inside of a turky pan with cover in a dark place untill sprouts show. i will then put them under the lights untill a tap root shows and insert into the hydroponics system with 5.8 ph and 0 nutrients and an approx water temp of 70f. Here are some pics of my grow box and basic tools (minus the ppm meter) and the nutrients i will be using. There are 12 seeds being started in these rock wool cubes that sat in 5.5 ph last night and now they have been inserted about 1/8 inch or so and the top closed back up not to let light and stuff in o.0. But like i said especially if you have grown something similar i would like to know any advice u mite have on this system Especially a good feeding schedule. o and today is DAY 1. -.-
12 seeds will overwhelm you if just starting. The growth in dwc is insane. And idk about starting seeds in cubes I always crack in paper towel and then I put them into my cubes. So far as feeding when they are seedlings just ph water to start then slowly raise ppm starting week 2. Wash hydroton and keep lights about 4inch. When you go to put cubes in pots put them in bottom of pots and slowly build pellets up around as plant grows. This helps plant remain closer to water and adds stability. Make sure that bottom of pots touch water until roots come thru. Also keep ph at 5.9 if possible. Thanks a lot this is the kind of by the numbers type of help I was hoping for. I really want to have a successful informative grow I can learn from, and can use as my standard model for repeating. This morning I have 2 over achieves already popping out here's some pictures. Soon I'll upload the water res filling and planting of my 4 best girls ( hopefully) . They look big enough to go into net pots. Make sure your hydroton has been rinsed and place plant on bottom of net pot and place hydroton around Rockwool and as plant grows build hydroton up around it so you don't hurt stem. Try to keep cfl like 3-4inches to keep stretching down. Ok picked my best 4 and set my water up with a 226 ppm and a. 6.0 ph. The lights are roughly 6 inches and all fans are in so I can adjust for humidity and temp. My target temp is 76 and humidity of 50Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
