Beginning my first grow inside, in a stealth dresser in my room.

Using CFL's for lighting, total of 276 Watts.

One 42 Watt (Only one i could find nearby) and 9x 26 Watts (Half Cool White, Half Warm white)

Any specific type for either stage better?

I'm using 6 Fans, 2x80 MM computer fans and 3x 120 MM Fans and one 4" inline fan thru a carbon scrubber (for smell purposes)

Going to be using happy frog for nutes until flowering, then adding nutes in water every other watering. Attempting a SCROG method with feminized auto-flowering (Any ideas on an easy way to SCROG? Saw a guide i thought was useful: http://forum.grasscity.com/plant-training/924509-closer-look-lst-picture-guide.html)

Getting dresser in exactly three weeks from start of this journal. I have all my lights, scrubber on its way, then i'll prep the lights and mount them, finish the grow room for a scrog setup and get the soil, THEN order the seeds.

EDIT:Using these seeds: Grass-o-matic AK Feminized

Keeping these three as a posibility:

    Nirvana Seeds Bubblelicious Autoflowering Feminized

    Nirvana Seeds Short Rider Feminized

    G13 Labs NL Automatic Feminized

Lots of fans to keep the cfls cooled, a thermometer/humidity checker being used, as well as a PH/Dryness tool to see how wet the soil is and it's PH.

Will edit and add more, possibly a picture of the lights soon.

EDIT: 12.2" pot, Should be 3-3.5 gallons

    uploading picture

  2. Update! Bought the pot :)

^To get an idea of how it looks from draining out the bottom (Add more holes?)

  3. Don't water every other day or you will kill your plants. You'll probably want to water every 3-4 days.

  4. Thanks for the advice :) :3 i'll check the soil for it before i water em

  5. maybe drill a few 1/4" holes all the way around the pot to help drainage, that one hole will not be enough

and yes, definitely only water when the first inch or so is DRY

also i have heard for auto's you require a full spectrum of light and 20/4 to 18/6 light schedule so if possible (if you can keep temps down also) use all of your lights, even try and replace a few of the 26's with 42's as the grow progresses, more light = better

i'll keep an eye on this grow ;)

  6. first off clean your room.

  7. Thanks for the tips! I was deff looking for some feedback! thanks so much!
I will be sure to do so, every 3-6 days if i'm correct

I'm using CFLs, i have 11 of them for one plant(overkill, i know)

20/4 will be used, and i can't use 42s. i liberated a few Brinks 7054 from walmart, but they don't work in the socket.

Attaching a pic, but they won't light up in a normal socket. Its weird..

Using 4-6 small PC fans for ventilation (should i point them at the bulbs or the plants for circulation)

5 minutes before the bus got to my house i had to find a sweatshirt lol its clean now, but i hadn't at the time of the pic. I apologize, i'm much neater except in a rush for picture day haha

  8. i run an 80mm pc fan between the bulb and the plant in my grow (take a look if you like, link is in my signature) and i find this helps keep the tops from burning even at 4" from a 130W CFL

  9. I will take a look! thank you for the advice, i'm still learning and i love how these forums everyones so helpful

  10. Autos dont really need any light but they wont really grow without it

  11. I don't get this statement..

  12. this is a ridiculous statement and makes no sense...

    ALL flowering plants require light

auto's require just as much light as any other cannabis strain, they do not require light period to change however they require light

  13. How many watts in a CFL will be required for one plant in a dresser? My understanding is about 4-6x 26w cfls

  14. i dunno exactly but you should ordinarily aim for 100 real watts (not the relative watts you get on cfl globes - ie like 14w = 60w, use the 14w to calculate) plus 50 for each extra plant

so 100 should be enough for one plant, 150 for two, 200 for three etc

then again, there's no reason you shouldn't have 250 for one plant, or 400 for two, the more light the better

ok there is one reason you shouldn't have 400w for one plant, heat, have as much light as you can handle for the temperature you want to grow at, which should be between 72 and 80 i believe (i tend to float around 85 but now that the outside temps are around 28 celcius the temps inside my grow have been getting up around 100F which i know is really hot, but they'll live, they live in temps much higher than that in Afghanistan and Brazil so they should be fine in my closet :)

  15. hey just wanna comment on your grow it seems you got it down packed but dont over water, my autos did fine watering only 3 to twice a week the more light the better 18/6 seems to be standard & be easy on da nutes cuzz some autos can be very sensitive anyways good luck on da grow!

  16. I've done alot of research, hopefully it'll help me:)

I mis-typed, i knew to water twice a week(3-4 days depending on dryness on top of soil) but typed days instead of each watering oups :p

I'll keep it on 18/6 or 20/4, most likely 18/6 until bud production begins, then i'll switch to 20/4.

I'll keep alot of lights, but keep in mind the heat and small space i have, I'll use 1/3 or 1/4 of whats recommended here: Soil Feed Chart

I'll check it twice-three times a day, taking pictures for this journal:)

i'll keep the temperature into account, I have infinite available to 26Watt CFLs and Computer fans, so i'll be able to mess around with lights. I have primarily Warm Light CFLs unfortunately, but i'll phase them out as the grow goes. I'll keep circulation, humidity, temperature, and PH all into account.

Thank god the marijuana plant is so resilent! I'm hoping that i'll get thru this with a half ounce, That'll be fine for me

  17. What's the strain u chose again?

Still haven't picked one officially yet, Down to three choices.

Unless someone shows me a better Feminized/Autoflowering strain i'll probably go with

    Grass-o-matic AK Feminized

Edit: Small Grow room setup :[IMG]

  19. hey coco, just to clarify a few things, you have both of these slightly backwards :)

with your lighting, either schedule will be fine for auto's, but you'd be better off going 20/4 for the veg stage then onced it starts flowering, either leave it on 20/4 or go to 18/6, the slightly longer nights will give it more time to produce the hormones it needs to grow more strongly during the 'day'

also with your CFL's, during veg you want more cool white (or 6400k) CFL's and during flower you want to use the warm white (2700k) CFL's

keep it up, and get those beans popping!

  20. I will stick move it down to 18/6 for flowering, thank you! i thought it'd need more for bud production. Silly me.

I have 4 Cool White CFLS and about 7 Warm white, I'm excited i have alot of warm white for flowering :D

I hope i will! I'm hoping a pretty good grow for a crash test, using the money generated from it for better lights for next time
