Okay, so I'm a long time lurker, 1st time grower.
I have been searching on here and other forums for around 4 months for all the information my head can possibly take in.
Basically setting up a grow in a brick shed. Needs to be stealthy just in case.
Nobody enters the shed but id rather keep noise/smell on the DL as a precaution.
So... without further adue.. my stealth grow design.

As you will see the over-all idea is a chest of draws sat underneath a small bedside set of draws.
The Chest will contain the main grow space/lights etc and the smaller set will house the carbon filter/extractor/storage for nutes etc.

    I want to use CFL's, ideally two 300w as the space is small (roughly 1.5m x 1m x 0.5m)
Obviously I'm going to need two sets of two. One set for veg/ one for flower. (unless dual spectrums are a good substitute as this almost halves the cost)
These are costing £40each so around $65 for those across the pond.
So as you'd guess with this being the first grow I've done i want to keep costs wayyyyy down.
Any advice on this would be appreciated.

    Equip Specs

    Lights - 2 x 300w CFL
    Fans - 1 x 4" extractor 105m3/hour 35db at 2 metre
    1 x oscillating
    2 x stationary
    Filter - 1 x 4" buddy carbon filter 200m3/hr handling
Intake - 2 x passive (not sure on size as want negative pressure)--Any help on this again would be great
    Medium based grow - Coco
    Nutes - Canna A&B
    Canna Rhizotonic
    Reflective material - Reflect-a-gro (supposedly 95-97% reflection)

Now heres where people are probably going to have a break down. I will not be doing a full "night" type routine. Ie where lights are completely off for the whole "night" cycle.
i will be using the GLR/DLR?? i think its called.
My light cycle is as follows:

    VEG
Week on / off / on / off

    1 18 6

    2 12 5.5 1 5.5

    3 12 5.5 1 5.5

    4 12 5.5 1 5.5

    5 12 5.5 1 5.5

    6 12 5.5 1 5.5

    7 12 5.5 1 5.5

    8 12 5.5 1 5.5

    FLOWER
    Week on off
    1 11 13
    2 11 13
    3 10.5 13.5
    4 10.5 13.5
    5 10 14
    6 10 14
    7 9.5 14.5
    8 9.5 14.5
    9 9 15
    10 9 15

or something very similar to that depending on how long i veg/flower for.
Now, before anyone flips their sh*t, I've looked into this lighting routine and studied it for hours and hours and hours over the space of about a month maybe 2. So i am fairly confident that this is not only a viable option but also "speeds up growth a touch" according to everything I've studied.

I will attempt to scrog/top the ladies. Hopefully this will turn out okay and not kill them off.
Ideally wanting 2, maybe at a push, 3 plants. Would people say thats adequate for the space?

If theres anything else I've missed out feel free to ask.
Kind of looking for approval from you guys(and girls) i suppose.
Any and all advice is more than appreciated (yes even criticism)

Basically is this feasible and worth attempting. I really don't fancy spending all this money and time to get like 1oz at the end.
I know i won't get anything close to a decent yield as its my first grow and I'm learning and all but I'm hoping for atleast an Oz per plant.
    What you think?

  2. Well it looks like you have done you research! I'm really curious as to how that lighting schedule works out. I've heard of people doing extended hours like this, but have never tried it myself.
I wish the best of luck and will be standing by to see results! Let me know know if you need any tips on design, air circulation anything like that.

Thanks for the reply! yeah been looking into everything and anything i come across haha!
Any and all tips are more than welcome buddy!
Just waiting on location and then I'm good to go.

  4. @MastahRoller, how did the 'extended' hours turn out?
Are you still on that schedule?

I add quotes bk it seems to me they are reduced hours. Lower electricity bill too?
