Just ended my first grow, I only had 1 plant and it turned out to be a dude. I hope to take this journal from seed to harvest. This is what has happened so far... GROW STARTED 7/27... Evening... Put 5 seeds in a paper towel dampened with room temperature water from the Britta filter in our fridge. 2/28 Morning... Checked seeds,no taproot. Built Soil... 2/3 peat moss 1/6 young compost 1/6 native soil Afternoon... made container... Folger's can holds slightly less than 4 1/4 cups of water. (Let's call it 4.20 cups of water) marked containers and used a soldering iron to make drain holes filled containers with soil watered... I started with 7.5 cups of filtered water It took 3 cups of water to get 1/3 the total volume of 4.20 cups to run out (1 1/3cups) in each container set out containers to drain Checked my drain water Total hardness 1000 PH 6.4 total alkalinity 40ppm checked seeds, still no taproots 7/29 Morning... One 1/8" long taproot is present... cleaned tweezers with alcohol dropped seed on floor taproot doubled in length and curled up planted seed 3/4' deep in pot #1 put lid on pot #1 7/30 morning... possible taproot starting on one seed
