im going to be starting up this kit with Ice Nirvana seeds i will most likely be planting inside of a sliding door closet the kit holds 8 gallons and is 13-14 inches high i prolly will only be able to fit 2-4 plants not 6 because of the light that may be hogged by too many plants too close together a serious question i have is how HIGH/tall do you think ice nirvana will grow in this kit? Should i get different nutrients than what they offered me? any help thanks oh btw i started 2 of the seeds in paper towels and a plate sitting over a light with a pie tin inbetween to get a lil heat its in a plastic bagy to get humidity too they sprouted small white sprouts and soon im going to put them in the rock wool and thats where im at
you do know you can build like like almost 3 of those for the same price right??? and that water pump pumping up the column to the individual netpots is not even needed in DWC system. How tall depends on your light placement and growing techniques Nutes it comes with doesnt work very well with MJ. Sugget you pick up some General Hydroponics.
ya now that i allready bought it and im looking at the setup i realize i coulda made one better but sicne i paid the money might as well use it what would be a good light placement height to keep them under 4 to 5 feet or so?? and where can i get some good products for general hydroponics? whats best for my ice ganj??
What type of lighting are you using, if its flourescents your going to have to keep it very very close almost touching. If your using HID (MH/HPS) it all depends on wattage of the bulb as they get hot and cna burn the tops.
one is a vegetative light and one is a flowering light both are 42 watts 2800 lumens 7 inches long i just use both at same time though but i can get a light from my friend with a couple hundred (200?)watts thats a longer light said its around 20 something inches long ____________________ /===============\ its like that ^
yes tube flourescent your talking about.... what you have now should be used together, its a dual spectrum setup and right now you have more wattage than the tube flourescent. 42W Flourescent is 100w incandesent equivalent.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh now that i see you said that i look at the box for the bulbs and its actually 150 watts standard incandescent so what if i used the floresent and the two other lights????? would that work better or worse and what heights would i put what at if i didnt want too high of plants...less than 4 maybe 5 ft
Dude, if you can repack that baby and send it back I would, for that money you could have a good set-up and a 400watt hps with a conversion bulb. The bubler you can build for like $20-$30, the light for $125, and meters(PH and PPM) will cost from 60-80. Get it all on ebay except the resevior which you can pick up at dollar general for $4. really i was planning to do that but once i learned how it worked more and tested a couple plants with this one and then build my own to custom fit the closet after i make my money back at least.... i just need some things answered with getting this thing started since seeds are sprouting a little now...
