Staying focused

  1. I am trying to figure out if I can use marijuana or not. It's useful to me as a sleep aide and it's easier form me to focus on creativity while high.

    There is a problem where I space out, though. For example, I'll suddenly realize I've watched 4 hours of documentaries that I was barely paying attention to. Or, I'll become lucid and realize i've been trying to enter my password for an hour, then nodding each time I'm about to type.

    How can you stay more aware and avoid spacing out? I have been using Sativa based THC sources. CBN was interesting too.

  4. Taking less is a good answer. Thanks. Even so, this is a serious question. How can I be more alert? I am more reflective under the influence, but I am also more distracted.

    I'm still here trying to figure out if I can consume cannabis as part of health practice.

    I'll have an idea, but not act on it because I pause at the start for some reason. Normally, this would be me procrastinating, but under the infuence it's inaction.

    Maybe a different strain??? I, too, like a good Sativa, Sativa-Hybrid and have several strains on hand that I rotate through. Sometimes I rediscover an old favorite like the Mandarin Confectionary I'm smoking now that is just now starting to taste old but is still quite nice!!!

    Even within the Sativa's some are better for staying focused than others. I do some vintage electronic repair and reconditioning (reading schematics, tracing circuits, taking electronic measurements), and also enjoy smoking some. Green Crack is good here, but "Apples and Bananas", while still really good, may be better for the end of the day. Your Mileage May Vary.

    I like my One Hitter because it is easy to take one or two hits, get to work, take a hit... They come in different shapes and sizes, mine look like cigarettes. The coloring eventually gets worn off, I use those at home, the good ones I use when a little discretion is necessary. ( SORRY I CAN'T DOWNSIZE THIS IMAGE, or the Mandarin Confectionary I'm smoking now that is just now starting to taste old but is still quite nice!!!

  6. When I was a kid, my friends and I treated smoking marijuana like a religious ritual. It was terrifying! It was not for fun. I still think of it that way now that, thankfully, I no longer have anxiety from marijuana

    I wonder if there are others that treat marijuana like that. You aren't just using to get high. I can't tell yet if I can function while using. I get distracted because of this waiting behavior that is a fundamental problem, for me. I procrastinate before taking on what I need to and tell myself that I need that, to be ready, then I'm still not ready 8 hours later

    Since the behavior is more pronounced while high, it seems like it could be useful for psychotherapy.
     
  7. Try some sativas. I just ordered some wedding cheese seeds from Herbies for me and the missus, so we can stay focused during our remote work sesh. The stuffs already gone, but it was some of the best weed I've ever had :coffee:

    When I want to take a break from smoking, I turn to CBD gummies. It's a great alternative that doesn't space me out. Instead, I find myself more focused and grounded. So that's my advice: try gummies. I buy mine from joyorganics.com. They now have some discounts, so you can check it out.
     
  9. My question is how are you getting so high ? I only have flower and it’s not very strong probably miids or low loud .
