Can I use a small pot with Peat Moss and no perlite to start out with? I'm going to transfer the plant into a 5-gallon Fox Farm (and perlite) pot once it gets big enough. Will there still be adequate drainage without perlite in the smaller pot?
yes there will be adequate drainage, expecially if u poke lots of holes. u can also use something long and skinny like a toothpic(but longer) to make holes manually for water to drain if it gets serious. it wont tho, as I didnt add ANY perlite this year and my grow is doing good. the soil had just the minimum amount edit: typo
