starting new crop crop for this summer

  1. well ive been lingering in and out of this forum and i really must say i like it alot anyways...ive grown 2 times before, my first time being unsecsessful and the second yielding about an ounce since i did only 1 plant.

but this year will be different i have found a good spot thickly covered with brush and pricker bushes it is also open enough to allow all light to hit the plants. i havnt planted yet imwaiting on my seeds in the mail currently. i bouhgt Northern Lights x Big Bud. And i got Belladonna both of which i plan on growing. i think ill do about 6 from each pack and hope for a good 5-6 females. in my grow area i noticed many deer tracks and trials. would tieing fishing line from tree to tree prevent them from comming closer?

any onther thing if anyone has any experience with these two strians for outdoors (btw, i live in ct where it can get a little cold at times) let me know of your experiences in dealing with it...was it difficult, late bloomers, large/small yield? whatever gimme all the info you can MUSTER!!

  2. :D Hey ' stranger ' :D

    sounds good!

I never have had deer trouble, but if i was you id would get chicken wire fencing, and surround the grow with it, but paint the fencing dark green, light green, all camo colors. just make it natrual looking.

or pissing aROUND your grow intimidates them, or so i hear ;)

good luck , and remmeber, PM me if u need it

  3. make sure u dont piss ON ur grow thou.. it'll fuck it up and they could die.. but i get that

  4. We have lots of deer where I plant and pesky little rabbits too. I use Irish Sping soap to keep them away. I buy a bunch of bars of soap and use a knife to slice shavings off. I spread the soap aroud the outside of my garden and as it rains it slowly dissolves away. I also I collect my dog's hair. I put the hair in a coffee can and lay it on it's side so that it stays somewhat dry for a while. I seem to have had probems with deer & rabbits when the plants were small and young. When they get about 2 feet tall nothing seems to bother with them, just cops and assholes.

I've grown the Big Bud and the Northern Lights, but not as a hybrid. I live next to you in New York State and both strains did very well. Some of my Big Bud plants had yields between 300 to 500 grams. Your garden area sounds perfect for growing. I grow in patches with lots of pricker bushes too. During the summer they fill in nicely and supply you with go cover and make them difficult to find or see. The fishing line might work. It would probably would spook the deer away. It's worth a try. Wish you good luck with this years grow. :smoke:

  5. ya well i plan on planting about 12 seeds and are hoping for a good 6-7 females...the summer should be good i expect them to be germinated by weeks end and in a pot to start indoors...anyways there is some area where they are not completly covered so i might just take some brush and add to it but not sure yet.

what do you think my yield could be at the least and at the most?

im expecting around the area of a half pound to pound and a half for this grow but not surely positive

    thank you

    ben

  6. Ben,
It's possible to get the amount your hoping for. Just make sure that you sweeten up the holes you dig with maybe some composted manure and a little blood meal. After a few weeks, you'll want to start a fertilizing program.

  7. hmm well thanks alot but i have another question, i am unable to start the grow in my room or in my houe for that matter and was thinking of putting them on the roof after germinated and placed in pots...but other than that i was just going to start them atthe site and tend to them daily so they grow ya know then transplant to the ground? is this fiesable or am i overlooking certain details?

  8. roof might not be a good place...

    how is the lighting?

it should be ok... but u would have to worry about squirrles jumping on the roof and yankin the babies... happend to me bout 2 years back
