Was wondering if coco/hydroton Hydroton only on the bottom and above hole otherwise technically 100% coco would be good forthis? Or should i just go with coco/perlite 3:1 Also gonna do 3g buckets
I know people have done hempy buckets with various mixes (coco, different ratios of verm/perl, etc.) Nobody seems to have any "bad" results, so I would say go for it. Everyone seems to have their own mix that works... I just started growing so I went with 4/1 perlite to vermiculite for my first grow, and then 4/1 in the res up to the hole, then perlite the rest of the way. After doing some research, I don't think focusing on keeping the res wet is a good idea. I think the extra moisture makes the roots grow directly toward the bottom rather than all over--filling the pot--then down.
