Well here goes, I've been growing a few lady's over the last few weeks indoor under lights at night and outdoor most days (as it is winter here in Australia). I have been putting them out at 8am and bring them in at 4pm. Running them under light from 4pm to 3 am. I wanna make a grow box (cupboard) but is this a waste of time and energy if I'm bringing them in and out. Here's a few pic of the supply's I've got: Can any one help this first time grower? I would buy a tent as it makes things so much easier. That light won't run that fan. I don't know how bright the sunlight is with you but I suspect it's better than a little fluorescent light. Might be worth bringing it all in doors if you used a better light
This is the light I've got: One tube is 55w 3000k red spectrum the other is 55w 6400k blue spectrum. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum
Pretty big cabinet but I would love to use that! If I were you I would go buy some extra wood and split it in half have one side for veg and the other for flowering. Or one side for clones and one side for the mother how ever you choose to grow! The lights will need to be adjustable so get a chain to hang them which you probably already know you might have light leaks because of the door so you might what to figure out a way to block the light without cutting off total air maybe by a white and black poly and Velcro it over both doors so you can just open it and close it when you need and possibly bigger fans! Even if you choose it to be a whole grow box for just a set of plants you will need bigger fans just because of the size
What you have there is good. You will need to buy an exhaust fan, cut a hole for it near the top, and a hole or two near the bottom for air to come in. You will need a couple of small (6" ish) fans to circulate the air in there. That solar powered fan won't be any good. It will need sunlight or a good HPS to get enough energy. A small fluorescent lamp just won't provide enough light. It's too small to move enough air anyway If you aren't good with cutting holes in your wooden wardrobe then maybe a small cheap grow tent would be better. Certainly easier to set up anyway
