Ok so I'm going to be starting a nice 2 rumplebucket/250watt grow soon. I have tested everything and my cab seems to run around 79 degrees right now. I'm not too worried about that, but I'd like to get that down somehow. Here is one of the big things that keeps going through my head. I have a nice set of seeds from HGS and I plan on scrogging. Should i take a clipping from each plant as soon as possible and send it in to flower to see the sex? ( I need a way to find out the sex so I don't waste all my time on scrog if its a male), suggestions needed. Summary: -Should I add more passive intakes to cool the cab down from 79 or go another route? -Should I have the lights on 18/6 or 24/0 to start out with. -When i switch to 12/12, should I do 12 on at night, for cooler temperatures? -I need suggestions on what to do about scrogging and the time it takes compared to sexing the plants. I'll probably update with a couple more questions I'm forgetting at the moment.

Do you have a 250HPS light or MH?? If you have MH lights then you good for your veg, if its a HPS the your good for flower... Either way... I see you buying more lights soon... Not as expensive to buy or run as the HID's though = ) I would go 2 weeks then cut clone to determine sex... so by the time your plant in the veg box is ready 2 flower, you should know the sex.. IDK, alot of different ways I guess.. Question I have 4 u: 1) How much space are you working with? 2) Are your lights air cooled? 3) Got pics? lol
haha man o man 1. Its a switchable mh/hps...lighting-check 2. my space is limited, but I don't know why it matters. I designed my cab around a 2 bucket 1 reservoir scrog setup, it fits exactly that. 3. the light is air cooled, hand is able to touch the light with minor heat 4. No pics yet because it still wigs me out to post hehe..and yes its a pretty nasty setup that could help many people on here. The only thing I'm concerned with about the clone/flower thing is this. When I cut my clone(s) , probably going to be around week 2-3, it would take around a week or two to root, but if it was induced in flowering immediately would it a. stress the plant to male, or show signs and root at the same time?
Use the paper bag technique. Get a small paper sack. Spraypaint it black so it's lightproof. Hang it on the lowest branch for 12 hours each day. Remove it the rest... (you have your lights on almost all the time.. right?) In 2 weeks it should let you know if it's a male. Three for females usually.
