Around two weeks ago my mom caught me smoking (I'm 20, going to some local college for my AA, living with my parents until I transfer to another school for my bachelor's). We had a conversation or two about it, but for the most part she's okay with it. She's not thrilled, but says it's alright as long as I'm responsible. I told her I'd handle the conversation with my dad. I haven't done it yet, but only because I'm not sure how to broach the topic. I did a project for a sociology class on decriminalizing weed and for part of it we had to do a survey. My dad indicated that he's for the completed decriminalization of weed, not just for medical usage. My question for /weed/ is how to start the conversation. The beginning of a conversation can frame the course it's going to take, so I wanted to ensure I start it off the right way (as opposed to just saying, "Oh by the way I smoke and I've been smoking for several months now"). I can handle it once the conversation has started, it's just the first part that I'm not too sure about. TL;DR I'm coming clean about smoking to my dad (who supports full decriminalization), how do I start the conversation?
well...since hes FOR the total decrim of it then i dont see why he would freak out or ne thing...i can however see where u were still a bit put off by talking to him about YOU smoking weed..im glad that it went well for you
