  1. So, heres the deal, I got this new set up with lighting almost ready. All I need is my ventilation finished.

Plants chosen from seed are White Widow and Fruit Spirit. (thanks attitude!!)

Top Section is for Veg / Clone / Mothers and Bottom is for Flower. The Plan is LST and or supercropping.

I do have limited space for a blower and want one for the top and one for bottom. Top is unfiltered and bottom will be filtered. obviously bigger fan for bottom. What would you knowledgable growers recommend for cfm?

I found this nice place and they meet my size requirements, any others?

    HVACQuick - residential

    Lights

    (4) 4 lamp 2 foot H.O. Floro http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-HTG...-Output-T5.asp

    (1) 250W HPS

Box Dimensions are pretty much the same for top and bottom built in a closet.

    4' W x 3.5' H x 2.5' D pictures follow

I will + Rep for help, advice, suggestions or even comments.
I will continue to update as I progress through the stages

  2. Don't care much about the rep but figured you need at least one comment :D:D.

The link is bad..I'm jealous of all those t5s though! How many watts is that? Nice looking setup..can't wait to see it filled with plants!!

Might not make a huge difference in a short space but as long as temps aren't a problem I might try adjusting that reflector downward a little. The bulb is gonna throw out light in all directions anyway so if you're gonna have the reflector in there why not try and 'aim' and concentrate as much of the light down onto the canopy?

Are you using any kind of odor control? I'd probably suggest something with at least 100-150cfm regardless, but thats kinda guessing..I don't know what temps are like under the hps and a filter/scrubber will affect your cfm significantly.

    It's been a month, any updates? :smoke::smoke:

  3. dude thats a bad ass t5 setup i want it :hello:

  4. Can you lower those lights or are you planning on stacking the plants on top of something they only need to be a couple inches away.

  5. Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it.

*As for the reflector on the HPS, I bent it up cause I have such a short overall height in there, I thought that it up would help the outside plants.
*As for the wattage of the t5's not sure, they say 8,000 lumen if that helps.
*Odor control was gonna be carbon filter and inline fan.
    *What link was bad?

*Lights you see in the pictures are not adjustable, i was going to stack as you said.

But, to everyone, I did scrap that project and set something new up. I am using the same lighting you see but in two separate tents. I will post those pictures but had an obstacle to overcome. I have less that $300 in the T5's, 250W Hps for $120 a couple years ago.

The reason for the change is I feared that with the short overall height would be too short for the plants in the long run.

Please Check back and I will have more pictures soon!!!

    :ey: :bongin: :hippie:

  7. Hell Yeah! Looking sexy :D. I'm extra jealous of your setup now..can't wait to see how the plants grow, especially the WW! How long do you plan to veg?

Good move with the tent, I think you'll be loving the extra height..obviously your plants have more space and hopefully it will help with temps a little.
*it was the t-5 htg link on the 1st post..no big deal, just letting you know. :)

  8. looks good bro. I was looking at fan/fiter combos t htg supply. they have a nice 475 cfm with a carbon filter for around 170 woud be more than enough for you space. I just recommend doing some web browsing. also, no rep needed. I don't think my post is worthy. gl to you and keep us updted. peace

I am not sure yet how long I am going to veg, I figured I will see how they go and what they look like. I am going to clone a fruit spirit and white widow. I did update the links if your interested. Keep checking back, I would love to share what happens with you guys.

I am going to have a second tent just for flowering my girls and keep clones/veg/mothers in the tent seen in the pictures. I will have unfilterd air circulated in the mother and filter for flower. thanks for the info on the combo.

This is the link where I got my tent too, they have some great deals too!

Here are my latest updates. I have (3) Fruit Spirit, (1) White Widow, (1) Sugar Black Rose [freebie] in grow bags.

I also have (2) Fruit Spirit, (2) White Widow in peat pellets waiting for transplant.

Temps range through the day between 75-82 Degrees F.

Until my flower tent is set up I have a 435 CFM centrifugal blower sucking in the sides of the tent running with the lights. Then after the flower room is set, I will have a ~150 CFM for the mother/clone/veg tent.

this is yesterdays pic, compare the pictures in the 6th post to these

  11. My girls are just loving those T5's. The little ones are still moving a little slow but sure will catch up. The other 3 are making very noticeable grow daily.

I would recommend them for vegging for sure!

  12. Ditto that my man, that T5 set up is a baaaadddddd boy! Good luck with the grow, i'm joing you for the ride!

  13. Thanks for stopping by, appreciate you joining me for the ride. I will continue to update regularly with pictures and info. There is already a difference between yesterday and today. Excited to see what they look like tomorrow, a wk, a month from now...

  14. nice looking grow setup man.

the one thing i notice is your grow bags.

i used them currently, and its best to cut off any excess that isnt full.

just take some scissors and do it, i use them and i always do this,

as if you dont, when the plants get bigger it becomes a huge pain in the ass getting all the soil moist.

other then that, this is the start to a NICE grow, i need to pick up some T-5s.

    :smoke:

  15. Yeah my man, watch those babies grow its an addiction! Good luck

  16. And the bonus feature is that when you not growing with it, you can install the optional "Tanning Bed"

  17. Can't wait to see how this one turns out... Nice work on the lighting, seems epic :)

  18. Thanks for the advice on trimming the grow bags. I cut them all down a bit when I got home last night! I do think i will pass on the grow bags next time though, this is my second grow with the bags and I don't think they will work so well for LST.

My T5's, I would have to say, I love 'em, probably not as much as the girls under them though.

I should tell my "other half" (lmao) about that and we can stop paying for her to go tanning.

I feel it too man, keep coming back

And here are more updates. I transplanted (2) more fruit spirit, and (2) more white widow for a total of (9) girls. YAY!!

  19. did you move the lights up for pictures?

if not, move those down a bit.

dont want a big stretch on the little seedlings.

  20. Yea, I move the lights up for pictures, otherwise they sit few inches above the tops. Good lookin though
