When doing a perpetual style harvest, where you put some in and take some out periodically, is it possible to achieve the same results per plant as you would get by harvesting all the plants at once??? Basically what I am trying to say is… Will it hurt/help/not effect your yield per plant by staggering a harvest????
depending on the system it should increase total yield. if you have a veging room and a flowering room you can get more total yield. you could do a low sea of green and harvest a few plants every 2 months. all depends on your setup
You definitely need a separate veg and flower area to be successful. It's also nice to have yet another area for cloning with mild lighting to keep your perpetual harvest going.
Staggering the harvest is independent of the yield. For example, if you have a strain that flowers in 8 weeks and you have 8 plants in the flower box, take one out and put a fresh one in every week, that will not have a different yield per plant than if you put all 8 in at the same time so that all 8 matured at around the same time. The yield for each plant will be impacted by the growing conditions that the particular plant experiences, does not matter what is happening to other plants in the room. To increase yield, look to techniques like topping, fimming, scrog, and/or LST.
